House Rules

1. General Conduct

 

Please behave respectfully toward other guests and our team at all times.

The entire building is a place of calm, cleanliness, and mutual consideration.

2. Quiet Hours

​

• 22:00 – 07:00: Please keep noise to a minimum in all areas.

• In dormitory rooms, consideration is required 24 hours a day.

• Partying is not permitted anywhere in the building.

3. Strict No-Smoking Policy

 

Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the entire building, including:

 

• Rooms

• Bathrooms

• Hallways

• Common areas

• Near windows

 

Violations result in a cleaning and damage fee of €575, plus any additional fire department costs.

 

Smoking is only allowed in the designated outdoor area.

 

 

4. Alcohol & Drugs

 

• Excessive alcohol consumption is not permitted.

• Bringing or consuming hard liquor, crates of beer, or similar quantities is prohibited.

• Drugs of any kind are strictly forbidden.

• Heavily intoxicated persons may be asked to leave the premises.

 

 

5. Visitors / External Guests

 

• External visitors are not allowed in rooms or dormitories.

• Visitors are only permitted in the lobby or reception area.

• Staff may deny access for safety reasons if needed.

 

 

6. Group Policy (8 people or more)

 

The Five Reasons is a quiet hotel & hostel.

Therefore, special rules apply to groups:

 

• Bookings of 8 or more people must be arranged with the hotel in advance.

• The following groups are not permitted:

   

  • Stag parties (bachelor/bachelorette)

  • Clubs, party groups

  • Groups focused on drinking or partying

• If a booking is made under false pretenses, the stay may be terminated immediately.

• In cases of misconduct, at least the first night will be charged.

 

 

7. Cleanliness & Use of Facilities

 

Please treat rooms, beds, and all common areas with care.

 

• Damages or heavy soiling must be reported to the staff immediately.

• Guests are liable for damages caused through negligence or intent.

 

 

In the communal kitchen:

 

• Please wash your own dishes.

• Label your food items.

• Leave surfaces clean.

• Do not leave open or unsealed food unattended.

 

 

8. Safety

 

• Emergency exits and escape routes must remain clear at all times.

• Tampering with smoke detectors, fire alarms, or any safety equipment is strictly prohibited.

• Open flames, heaters, hot plates, or similar devices are not allowed in rooms.

• Always close doors properly and do not let strangers into the building.

 

 

9. Keys / Keycards

 

• A fee of €10 is charged for lost keycards.

• For intentional damage or loss of a mechanical key (if applicable), replacement costs depend on the lock system.

 

 

10. Animals

 

• Pets are not allowed.

• Exceptions apply only to certified assistance dogs.

 

 

11. Luggage

 

• Luggage may only be stored in the designated areas.

• The hotel is not liable for lost or damaged items.

12. Violations of the House Rules

 

In case of violations, the hotel is entitled to:

 

• Remove guests from the premises,

• Terminate the accommodation contract with immediate effect,

• Charge for damages or additional cleaning costs.

 

Refunds for the room rate will not be granted in such cases.
